RESPECT in Today’s Workplace

According to SHRM’s Civility Index research, U.S. workers encounter approximately 223 million acts of incivility each day, leading to an estimated $2 billion in loss daily for organizations due to decreased productivity and increased absenteeism.

Conflicts become personal, emotions escalate, and tension increases within teams as a result. Encouraging civil conversations isn’t about eliminating conflict—it’s about navigating it constructively. It’s about fostering a workplace where employees can voice differing opinions with respect, collaborate, and progress as a team. In this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Examine situations that could be seen as inappropriate or disrespectful at work and identify appropriate response strategies.
  • Uncover seven ways you can show RESPECT to others in the workplace.
  • Identify a prescribed and proven process for constructive conflict resolution.
