Kasey Sandman is an Officer and Director of Retirement Plan Services, and has been with Security National Bank since 2015. She manages retirement plans and specializes in financial planning. Kasey is a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA®) and has a Bachelor's degree from University of South Dakota.

Kim Thomas — Presenter Bio

With more than 36 years in the financial services world, Kim Thomas has become the go‑to guide for making retirement planning feel clear, doable, and even enjoyable. A Buena Vista College finance grad, Kim specializes in investment analysis, financial wellness, and helping employees understand the big retirement questions—especially Social Security.

Armed with an impressive lineup of professional designations (CLU, ChFC, CASL, AIF) and a full suite of securities and insurance licenses, Kim brings both expertise and approachability to every conversation.

Outside the office, he’s just as dedicated to his community, serving as President of the La Vista City Council and as a board member of the La Vista Community Foundation.

Kim’s passion is simple: helping people step confidently into their next chapter.

Derek Bailey – Presenter Bio

Derek Bailey is VP of Retirement Plan Services, which is a fancy way of saying he’s chosen a career explaining 401(k) plans to people who would rather be literally anywhere else. He’s worked with corporate, nonprofit, and government groups, which means he’s explained fees, investments, and plan design to every variety of glazed-over expression imaginable. He’s a two‑time “Top 40 Under 40” award winner, which means he peaked early and has been chasing that high ever since. Derek also collected an impressive collection of acronyms—CRPS®, AIF®, NQPC and a small museum of FINRA series exams—because nothing screams “fun at parties” like listing your securities licenses.
