Siouxland Chapter of SHRM Honored for Elevating HR and Enhancing Workplaces
Receives SHRM’s Prestigious 2024 Platinum Excel Award
Sioux City, IA — May 13, 2025 — SHRM has awarded the 2024 Platinum Excel Award to the Siouxland Chapter of SHRM in recognition of its exceptional work and accomplishments in 2024. This award celebrates the Siouxland Chapter’s strategic initiatives, innovative programming, and unwavering commitment to elevating the HR profession and improving workplaces across the region.
The Excel Award—given at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels—is a symbol of excellence in chapter and state council leadership. Honorees are recognized for activities that align with SHRM’s mission to empower people and workplaces by advancing human resource practices and maximizing human potential.

The Siouxland Chapter of SHRM will receive national recognition through SHRM publications and events, an official award logo for use in communications, and tools to help share this achievement with its members and community.
In 2024, the Siouxland SHRM Chapter of SHRM led several impactful initiatives, Award Winning Virtual Shorts, SHRM Certification Guidance, Professional Development Luncheon Meetings, Annual Conference Trainings, Networking opportunities and so much more. All supporting the growth and success of HR professionals and organizations across Siouxland.

Siouxland Chapter of SHRM receives a prestigious 2024 Pinnacle Award at the SHRM Volunteer Leaders’ Business Meeting (VLBM) in Washington, D.C.!
This recognition honors outstanding innovation and dedication to advancing the HR professional and serving the community. In 2024 the Siouxland SHRM Chapter introduced Monthly Virtual Information Shorts to its members for free. The Shorts provided timely information on new or changing legislation allowing members to assess the impact on their business practices. Siouxland SHRM’s efforts have set a new benchmark for leadership and creativity, showcasing how impactful HR professionals can be in driving positive change.
